Call of Duty Warzone is free to play and brings several new elements to a genre that many gamers feel is getting stale. If you like battle royales and you like Modern Warfare, then there's a good chance you will enjoy Call of Duty Warzone.
However, even if you are not a fan of either you may want to check Call of Duty Warzone out as it adds unique elements to both Modern Warfare's mechanics and to the battle royale formula that addresses some complaints gamers have had with both.
The movement and gunplay in Call of Duty Warzone are the same as that in Call of Duty Modern Warfare with one major change. You can now pick up and carry armor plates in your inventory that absorb damage when you take a hit. Players who were put off by the low time-to-kill in Call of Duty games will appreciate this addition. Call of Duty Warzone also arms players with adrenaline shots and killstreaks, which can be used to out-wit an opponent who spotted you first.
Call of Duty Warzone brings alterations to the battle royale formula that might entice players who are tired of the genre or never liked it to begin with. Players are dropped into the map sporting a pistol.
This alleviates the frustration that all battle royale players know of dropping into a map unarmed and being killed by a player who managed to land a couple of feet closer to the nearest weapon. Looting in Warzone is fast-paced. Weapons are plentiful, easy to find, and come sporting attachments making it easy to get your initial weapon loadout. You earn money by killing players, and even completing 'contracts' which you can spend on buying weapons and killstreaks.
